More Information

CBN is short for “cannabinol,” a popular and effective cannabinoid for helping you relax. Our solventless CBN Oil made by infusing Hemp Seed oil with CBN Isolate.

Typically taken in 0.5–1 mL doses, orally once or twice daily. However, as this is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, your healthcare provider may recommend a higher dosage.

CBN for Neuroprotection

In a published article in the Journal of Pharmacology Experimental Therapeutics in June 2000, a number of cannabinoids including cannabinol were shown to prevent serum-deprived cell death. The study suggests that these cannabinoids act as antioxidants to modulate cell survival.

CBN and Sleep

A published study by Arnold et al. shows that, in rats, CBN affects sleep under objective sleep measures and suggests that an active metabolite may contribute to its hypnotic action. Furthermore, CBN increased both non-rapid eye movement (NREM) and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. The magnitude of CBN’s effect on NREM sleep was comparable to that of the sleep aid zolpidem.
